FAQ
What gearboxes is this compatible with? 
This has been extensively tested on a Ford A4LD gearbox, but it should also work with any model such as the Dodge/Chrylser A518 RH that uses grounding of solenoids such as the activate the lockup and overdrive.

How do I know if I need the V1 or the V1 Lite?
This depends on the amount of current the solenoids on your vehicle pulls. We'd suggest testing the solenoid with an ammeter in series to see how much current it pulls. From our testing most operate within the the allowable range of the V1 Lite (1amp) but we'd reccomend the V1 if you are close to this limit. The V1 operates with phyisical relays so there is a small click on activation and deactivation, whilst the V1 Lite uses mosfets to controll the current flow which is also worth considering if your vehicle is particularly quiet.  

Can this controll either lockup or overdrive on it's own?
Yep - simply just connect the lockup or overdrive wire and ignore the other output - this can be deactivated from the advanced settings menu if desired too.

Is is easy to install?
I believe so - it comes with clear and easy installation instructions the most tricky elements of adding this is working out how you'll install the sensors. Should you have any questions you can contact us via email where we will do our best to assist. 

What tools are required? 
It's up to you on how you wire this in, we'd suggest either using crimps/spade connectors or soldering the wires in. Another great option that we've used is heat shrink solder butt connectors.

Can you reccomend a speed sensor? 
Yes, any sensor that provides a regular 12v pulse should work, but here are a few aftermarket options that would work:
- Inline Speedo Sensor or here
- Alternative Inline Speedo Sensor
- Another Alternative Inline Speedo Sensor

Can you reccomend a throttle sensor?
Yes, any 3 wire potentiometer style thottle sensor should work, but here are a few options that would work:
- Full kit including plug/short wires
- Alternative full kit including plug/short wires
- 6 wire sensor (Nissan X-Trail)
- 3 Wire sensor (Mazda 6) 
It's worth noting you'll also need to source a plug to match the 3rd and 4th options. A useful reference for wiring up a wide variety of throttle sensors can be found here.

Will this work on a 24v system?
Sadly not - this only designed to work with 12v cars. (Safe working voltage range of 9v-16v)

Is the unit waterproof?
Sadly not - the unit must be mounted in a dry area of the car, but this is likely what you'd want to do anyway to be able to access the adjustment controlls and screen. We recommed mounting in the passenger footwell or behind the dash.
